With the US election looming, a bunch of Americans have come up with a way to make candidate speeches and debates just a little more fun – with bingo! Now you might be puzzled at this, as the 888 Ladies were and thinking: how on earth can bingo be a part of the presidential election? Well here’s how!
Step 1: Get a group of friends together
Step 2: Create bingo cards, this is the crafty part! You need to make a 5×5 grid and select a different word associated with your candidate of choice (either Barack Obama or John McCain) and enter it into each box. These can be words like ‘economy’ or ‘campaign’, or if you want to make it basically impossible to win, use words like ‘hot dog’ or ‘umbrella’!
Step 3: Crowd round the television to watch the speech or debate and get your dabbers ready!
Step 4: Mark off each word as and when you candidate says them; you are aiming to get a horizontal line across to win.
Step 5: Get a horizontal line and shout out the name of your candidate: either ‘McCain!’ or ‘Obama!’
There you have it, a guide to presidential bingo! The 888 Ladies are following the election too, but we’ve got to admit, it’s mainly because Obama is a hottie!
