You may be a little perplexed by the above statement and we’ll be honest, when the 888 Ladies first heard this story we couldn’t quite believe it. A couple in the US have been arrested on battery charges as a result of injuries caused by; you guessed it, a bingo dabber.
The case is, obviously, surrounded by mystery, with both parties claiming that they had the dabber thrown at them. United Press reported that the fight broke out after the girlfriend came home from bingo to find the front door locked. After repeatedly banging on the door to alert her boyfriend, she was finally let in and subsequently hit her boyfriend with her handbag. A fight ensued and a bingo dabber was thrown.
After calling the police, the suspects in question both pointed the finger at the other, claiming that they had not thrown the dabber. The police said that both suspects had minor marks on their bodies, perhaps resulting from the dabber ink.
Violence of this sort can never be condoned by the 888 Ladies and using a harmless and innocent bingo dabber as a weapon is overstepping the mark. All of that precious ink wasted when it could have been used on perfectly good bingo cards. The 888 Ladies suggestion to the couple is to take up online bingo, where the dabbing is done automatically and there is no risk of injury by dabber!
